Dealing with Alcohol (2)
Working in a nightclub is difficult for the amount of alcohol you need to consume sometimes.
Specially in Asia, where club business entertaining a guest in the table is so important.
Some clubs in Asia has not Private Dance areas and some of them are the famous “hostess club” or "Room Salon". However a professional entertainer knows how to deal with difficult situations all the time, doesn’t matter where. Sometimes you can be very strong and drink 5 bottles of tequila and still be very calm and control yourself, sometimes only with a bit of champagne you already can get drunk.
Let me give you some tips to help you when it comes to alcohol consumptions:
Try to eat something a little bit fat before you start your work. Fat and oil it helps sometimes not to get very intoxicated. Also never start your work with empty stomach.
Do not drink before work or before you are sit-down with guests.
When you are sit-down with guest drinking alcohol, drink a lot of water.
Strong liquors and spirits are very dangerous because it can make you drunk without even notice.
In case you are getting drunk, stop a little bit, do not keep pushing yourself, remember that you are doing a job, and you need to be focus, getting drunk is not your job, controlling yourself and not to get drunk, making sure your guest have a good time is your real job.
When you are drunk your personality can change, in case you are drinking make sure the guest have a great time, when you are drunk you can do or say something not good, and you might blow your chances for the night. Try that you and your guest drink at the same pace.
To be drunk is never an excuse for you not to follow your managers instructions and guidance. And is not an excuse to act and behave in a bad way. Never an excuse not to follow club rules and local government regulations. I have personally fired number one, top earning girls to made something against club rules and most importantly to failed to follow (City) local government regulations.
After job, in case you are already intoxicated, DO NOT drink more alcohol, it will create you some dependency of alcohol to sleep, your body will get use to, and you will need to drink all the time in order to sleep. When you wake up next day, drink a lot of water, try to make some small physical activities or go to sauna, to sweat it will help you eliminate all toxins from alcohol, and try to consume a lot of water. EAT please!
